There is a place that is always in motion. Shaped by wind, currents, and tides. Where sky and earth share the same stage. It is both permanent and ever-changing. The sea gives and takes land. Dunes grow taller or are washed away. The fate of ships lies in the hands of the ever-shifting channels. One thing is certain here: there will always be water, sand, and wind. This magical place is called the Wadden Sea. We have captured its scents in WAD Eau de Parfum. From the salty sand and seaweed that cannot survive without the tides, to the harbors, pine trees, and beachcombers' sheds.

Capturing the scent of the Wadden Sea and transforming it into a wearable perfume has been one of my most difficult challenges. But I believe I have succeeded. According to an enthusiastic mudflat hiker who helped me test perfumes during development, WAD perfume suits the Wadden Sea and its inhabitants well: "It's a rough, but honest and natural beauty coming together. You'll appreciate it more the better you get to know it."

Salty?
Despite everyone expecting a salty scent, there is no grain of salt in WAD perfume. Salt itself is completely odorless. What you actually smell during a walk along the coast of the islands is dead seaweed and algae. So, that is included in WAD perfume. You also smell bergamot and sage for the idea of salt. You smell the fishing nets and ropes of the ships in the harbors, thanks to sisal. A hint of nutmeg transports you into an old beachcomber's shed. There's also a significant dose of oudh and ambergris for the wet beach feeling. And finally, of course, there's pine scent, because the islands are full of them.

Unisex
Our perfumes are not specifically made for men or women. Marketing creates that division in perfumes. Our perfumes react differently on each person's skin, and they are suitable for both men and women.

Eau de Parfum is a very strong perfume formula, with over 20% pure perfume oil. Just 1 to 2 sprays on each wrist is enough to keep you smelling wonderful all day long.
